Misato Nunokawa
Spatial Experience Designer / Installation Artist
FRAMEAwardS「OF THE YEAR」、Red Dot Design Award、iF DESIGN AWARD、日本空間デザイン賞GOLDなど、国内外で多数のアワードを受賞。
Born in Yamagata, Japan in 1994. Misato Nunokawa is a Tokyo-based spatial designer and installation artist whose practice explores the relationship between phenomena and memory.
Working across installations, window displays, exhibitions, and spatial experiences, he creates environments that use light, movement, materiality, and the passage of time to give form to invisible layers of emotion and memory. By designing spaces that transform through the presence and actions of the body, his work reconsiders the relationship between people, space, and culture, while questioning the ways in which perception itself is formed.
He has worked on exhibition design, brand experiences, and spatial installations for commercial and cultural spaces in Japan and abroad. His work has received numerous international and domestic awards, including FRAME Awards, Red Dot Design Award, iF Design Award, and the Japan Kukan Design Award Gold.
